Who we are?
Moss Packaging cc was started 1959 by Shirley and Samuel Moss. Shirely ran the business whilst Sam was involved in the Johannesburg City Council, Theatrical Associations as well as his much loved Jeppe High School for Boys.
Shirley had a keen eye for choosing just the right machine and was a dab had with tools for machine repairs.
Their son, Russel Moss, assumed responsibility for the business in 1989. Through his leadership the company outgrew its premises in Ophirton and relocated to a larger factory in Roodekop. History repeated itself in 2008 when the business moved to its current location in Alrode.

Silica gel
Silica Gel is a porous, synthetically manufactured desiccant. The interconnected pores form a vast surface area that attracts and retains moisture.
Little packets of silica gel are found in all sorts of products because silica gel is a desiccant — it adsorbs and holds water vapour. In leather products and foods like pepperoni, the lack of moisture can limit the growth of mould and reduce spoilage. In electronics it prevents condensation, which might damage the electronics. If a bottle of vitamins contained any moisture vapour and were cooled rapidly, the condensing moisture would ruin the pills. You will find little silica gel packets in anything that would be affected by excess moisture or condensation.
PACKAGING POWDER
Packaging ensures the protection of the products that are meant to be distributed in the market for the purpose of sale, storage, use etc. Generally, it refers to the process of designing, evaluating, and producing packages. Some of the common packaging products include boxes, cartons, cans, bottles, bags, envelopes, wrappers, and containers.
With the increasing demand for packaging, many companies have started finding ways and techniques to sell their products through better designing and packaging. Attractive, strong packaging designs not only help to protect the products from breakage and damages but they are also helpful in grabbing the attention of the end consumer.
